The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, on Friday led a high-powered delegation of party leaders and candidates on a courtesy visit to the Akarigbo-in-Council at the Akarigbo’s Palace in Sagamu.
The delegation included the Ogun East Senatorial Candidate, Engr. Oluwafemi Omotayo; Ogun West Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Babatunde Ogunlola; House of Representatives candidates from Ogun East; House of Assembly candidates for Ikenne and Sagamu State Constituencies; alongside prominent PDP stakeholders from across Ogun State.
The visit, held on June 26, underscored the party’s respect for traditional institutions and its commitment to fostering unity, peace, and inclusive governance ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Adebutu reiterated the PDP’s resolve to deliver people-oriented leadership that prioritises development, economic growth, and improved welfare for the citizens of Ogun State. He also stressed the importance of engaging traditional rulers as critical partners in promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development.
The Akarigbo-in-Council welcomed the delegation and encouraged political actors to conduct their activities peacefully while placing the interests of the people above partisan considerations.
The visit further demonstrated the Ogun PDP’s determination to strengthen grassroots engagement, build stronger relationships with key stakeholders, and promote a vision of progress, unity, and prosperity for all residents of the state.
