…Reaffirms Commitment to Education, Innovation and Youth Development
Lagostrend report that the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, has once again demonstrated her unwavering commitment to educational advancement and youth empowerment with the official launch of the Educational Support & Youth Empowerment Programme, a landmark initiative aimed at transforming the lives of young people across the council area.
The programme, held in Epe, featured the presentation of bursary awards to indigenous students in tertiary institutions, providing much-needed financial assistance to support their academic pursuits and reduce the burden of educational expenses on families.
In furtherance of her administration’s commitment to expanding access to education, GCE examination forms were also distributed to eligible students, creating additional opportunities for young people seeking to advance their education and achieve their academic dreams.
The event also celebrated the Grand Finale and Graduation Ceremony of participants in the AI Literacy, Creative Empowerment and Emerging Leaders Training Programme, where beneficiaries were equipped with cutting-edge digital skills, creative knowledge, and leadership competencies required to succeed in today’s technology-driven world.
Speaking on the significance of the initiative, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun reaffirmed that education remains a top priority of her administration, stressing that empowering young people with knowledge, skills, and opportunities is essential for sustainable development and economic growth in Epe.
According to the Chairman, investing in human capital is the surest pathway to building a prosperous future, adding that the council will continue to implement programmes that inspire excellence, promote innovation, and prepare the next generation of leaders for greater responsibilities.
The Educational Support & Youth Empowerment Programme has been widely applauded by students, parents, and community stakeholders as another impactful intervention by the Epe Local Government, reflecting the administration’s vision of creating a brighter future through quality education, digital innovation, and inclusive youth development.
