A seasoned administrator, accomplished politician, and passionate advocate for community development, Hon. Princess (Dr.) Folashade Olabanji-Oba has built an impressive legacy of service through dedication, integrity, and transformational leadership.
She previously served with distinction as the two-term Executive Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, where she championed several developmental initiatives that positively impacted the lives of residents and strengthened local governance.
Her leadership qualities also earned her national recognition as the former President of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGONVC). She currently serves as the Deputy Chairman, Board of Trustees of ALGONVC, where she continues to contribute to policy development and the advancement of local government administration across Nigeria.
Beyond public office, Hon. Princess (Dr.) Olabanji-Oba is the Convener and Global Director-General of Amazons Progressive Development for Renewed Hope (APD-RH) and the Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement for Renewed Hope (ADAM-RH). Through these platforms, she has remained a strong advocate for women’s empowerment, youth development, grassroots mobilization, and the promotion of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Her outstanding contributions to humanity and nation-building have earned her several prestigious traditional titles, including Yeye Omoluabi Agbaye, Aare Arewa Oodua, Aare Bobashelu Orile Agege, Aare Gbobaniyi, Yeye Wura Ijesha, and Yeye Taiyese, reflecting the respect and admiration she commands across different communities.
As Honourable Commissioner of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Princess (Dr.) Folashade Olabanji-Oba continues to demonstrate visionary leadership by promoting excellence, professionalism, accountability, and capacity development within the local government service in Lagos State.
