His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Telade IV, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom and Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, has extended warm New Month greetings to the people of Ilara Kingdom, Epe Division, Lagos State and Nigeria at large, praying for peace, progress, unity and prosperity across the country.

In his goodwill message to mark the beginning of November 2026, the revered traditional ruler offered special prayers for the continued development of Ilara Kingdom and the entire Epe Division, as well as the sustained growth and stability of Lagos State and Nigeria.

Oba Ogunsanwo called on residents, community leaders, youths and other stakeholders to embrace peace, unity, love and mutual understanding, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in building a stronger and more prosperous society.

The monarch also advised citizens to approach the forthcoming elections with a strong sense of responsibility, urging eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), participate actively in the democratic process and conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the elections.

He emphasised the need for issue-based engagement, tolerance and respect for differing political opinions, while encouraging the electorate to make informed choices in the overall interest of the community and the nation.

Furthermore, His Royal Majesty offered special prayers for the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR; the Lagos State Deputy Governor and APC governorship candidate, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat; Senator Tokunbo Abiru; Hon. Wale Raji; Hon. Sylvester Oluwadahunsi Ogunkelu; and Hon. Abiodun Tobun.

He prayed for God’s wisdom, strength, protection and guidance upon the nation’s leaders and elected representatives, asking for greater commitment to good governance, people-oriented leadership and sustainable development.

The Alara of Ilara Kingdom reaffirmed the importance of peace, unity and cooperation among the people, expressing hope that the new month would usher in fresh opportunities, divine blessings and meaningful progress for every household.

He concluded by wishing all sons and daughters of Ilara Kingdom, residents of Epe Division, Lagos State and Nigerians at home and abroad a peaceful, prosperous and fulfilling month of November.
