His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has reportedly honoured popular Nollywood actor and comedian, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, with a prestigious chieftaincy title and presented him and his wife with a brand-new multi-million-naira vehicle.
According to reports, the monarch bestowed the traditional title of “Baba Awada Kọngẹ̀ Òduwà” on Baba Ijesha during a special ceremony held in celebration of the couple’s matrimonial union and the arrival of their newborn son, King Kagar Omiyinka.
In addition to the chieftaincy title and the new vehicle, the royal family reportedly presented the couple with a cherished traditional antique as a symbol of honour, cultural heritage, and royal goodwill.
Baba Ijesha, whose real name is Olanrewaju Omiyinka, is an indigene of Ile-Ife in Osun State and is widely known for his contributions to the Nigerian entertainment industry, particularly in Yoruba-language comedy and films.
The reported royal gesture has attracted widespread attention, with many describing it as a significant recognition of the actor’s cultural roots and a memorable celebration of his growing family.
