The Executive Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Biliaminu Samson Agunbiade, has approved the commencement of a house-to-house waste collection exercise as part of renewed efforts to promote environmental sanitation and public health across the council area.
The initiative, which begins on Thursday, 5th February 2026, will be carried out by the Environment Unit of the LCDA. The operation will kick off in Badore and extend to Addo, with arrangements already in place to ensure full coverage of Owode and Langbasa communities in subsequent phases.
Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Agunbiade reiterated his administration’s commitment to building a cleaner, safer, and healthier Eti-Osa East, emphasizing that effective waste management remains a key priority of his leadership.
Residents of the affected communities are therefore encouraged to package their waste properly in appropriate bags and make them accessible for easy and timely collection. The cooperation of all residents is vital to the success of this exercise and to sustaining a hygienic environment for everyone.
The Eti-Osa East LCDA calls on community leaders, landlords, tenants, and youths to support this laudable initiative and ensure full compliance.
Together, we can maintain a cleaner environment and safeguard the health and well-being of our people.
Signed:
Management
