The Epe Club has expressed profound appreciation to a distinguished donor for the generous financial contribution towards the Baba Bamu Immortalization Project, a landmark initiative aimed at preserving the legacy of the Club’s revered Apex Leader, Alhaji Shakirudeen Akanni Seriki Bamu.
The appreciation was conveyed following the successful “Celebration of an Icon” event held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, which attracted notable personalities and commanded what organizers described as “governor-level” prestige.
Speaking on behalf of the President and the entire Planning Committee of Epe Club, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, High-Chief Akeem Durojaiye Oluwo, described the donor’s presence and support as both inspiring and historic.
“Your presence alone elevated the event and gave it the honour it truly deserved. Beyond that, your generous donation towards the construction of the Alhaji Shakirudeen Akanni Seriki Bamu Hall is a lasting investment in the history, heritage, and future of Epe Division,” he said.
He emphasized that the contribution goes beyond financial support, noting that it represents a deep commitment to community development and the preservation of cultural values.
As preparations move towards the project site to commence construction of the hall, the Epe Club offered prayers for continued blessings and prosperity for the donor, expressing confidence that such generosity will be rewarded with enduring honour and celebration.
The Club reaffirmed its commitment to keeping stakeholders and supporters informed as the Baba Bamu Immortalization Project progresses, while thanking all who have continued to stand with Epe Club in honoring one of its most iconic leaders.
