Ikorodu Division witnessed a remarkable demonstration of unity, solidarity, and forward-looking commitment yesterday as leaders, stakeholders, and party faithful gathered in large numbers for the Ikorodu Division Unites for 2027 Rally, reaffirming their collective support for the re-election of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in 2027.
The rally served as a resounding endorsement of President Tinubu’s leadership and the transformative reforms being implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, it was emphasized that Ikorodu Division, Lagos East Senatorial District, and indeed Lagos State remain steadfast in their support for a leader whose courage, clarity, and vision have guided Nigeria through one of the most challenging economic periods in its history.
Reflecting on the decisive actions taken in 2023, it was noted that President Tinubu made bold and necessary reforms at a critical moment in Nigeria’s national journey—decisions aimed at stabilising the economy, restoring investor confidence, and safeguarding the long-term future of everyday Nigerians. These measures, though demanding, have laid a sustainable foundation for growth, resilience, and inclusive development.
The rally also highlighted key interventions already delivering tangible results nationwide. Among these are improved federal allocations to states—strengthening subnational development and grassroots governance; concerted efforts to stabilise food prices and support agricultural productivity; the rollout of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), providing access to student loans for higher education; the introduction of affordable consumer credit through CrediCorp to ease financial pressures on households; and sustained investments in digital innovation and critical physical infrastructure to drive economic expansion.
These reforms, it was stressed, are intentionally structured to ease household burdens, empower small and medium-scale enterprises, create jobs, and expand opportunities for Nigeria’s teeming youth population.
