Dabiri Campaign Slams “Sponsored Smear,” Reaffirms Strong Track Record and Rising Momentum in Epe Constituency II Race

The Media Directorate of the Olakunle Omololu Dabiri Campaign Organization has issued a firm rebuttal to a recent publication by News Busta, describing the report as a “sponsored, misleading, and politically motivated attempt” to discredit a credible and fast-rising aspirant in the Lagos State House of Assembly race for Epe Constituency II. According to the Directorate, the claims labeling OlaKunle Omololu Dabiri as “inexperienced” and lacking political connections are not only false but also a clear distortion of verifiable facts. The campaign emphasized that Dabiri’s leadership credentials span decades of active engagement, beginning from his time at the University of Lagos, where he served as Secretary General of the Students’ Union Government between 1998 and 2002. During this period, he successfully represented a large student population while maintaining peace, stability, and constructive engagement with government authorities. The statement further highlighted Dabiri’s early exposure to governance through direct interactions with then-Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which helped shape his policy understanding and leadership approach. His public service journey continued at the grassroots level as Supervisory Councilor in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA (2011–2014) and later in Bariga LCDA, Somolu (2017–2020), where he contributed meaningfully to community development and governance. Beyond Nigeria, Dabiri’s time in the United States did not diminish his political involvement. Instead, he remained actively engaged, founding the ALL4BAT — ALL4BOS sociopolitical movement, which mobilized youth participation and supported progressive governance initiatives, including Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s successful re-election campaign. His dedication and impact earned him an appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on LASAA (2024–2026). The campaign stressed that Dabiri’s profile reflects a rare blend of grassroots experience and global exposure, positioning him as a forward-thinking leader capable of attracting development opportunities and delivering effective representation for Epe Constituency II. Describing the controversial publication as an act of desperation, the Media Directorate noted that the growing support for Dabiri across the constituency has unsettled opponents, prompting attempts to spread misinformation. “We urge the good people of Epe Constituency II to disregard this baseless narrative and remain focused on the facts. OlaKunle Omololu Dabiri represents competence, consistency, and a clear vision for inclusive development,” the statement concluded.
