The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the successful upload of all its candidates for the 2027 General Elections to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP), marking a significant milestone in its preparations for the nationwide polls.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the party’s National Chairman, Nelson Wike, disclosed that the PDP submitted a total of 471 candidates. The list comprises the party’s presidential and vice-presidential candidates, 109 senatorial candidates, and 360 House of Representatives candidates.
Describing the completion of the nomination process as a major achievement, Wike congratulated all the party’s candidates, leaders, and members for their commitment and dedication throughout the exercise.
“With this milestone achieved, our focus now shifts to mobilisation and preparations for a successful campaign and decisive victory at the polls,” the PDP National Chairman stated.
According to the party, the successful upload of its candidates to the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal demonstrates the PDP’s readiness to contest the 2027 General Elections and reflects its determination to provide Nigerians with credible leadership.
The party added that attention will now be directed toward nationwide mobilisation, grassroots engagement, and strategic campaign activities as it intensifies efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.
