The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Akogun Wale Anomo, has successfully concluded the final inspection of the newly completed Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Divisional Headquarters in Odo-Ayandelu ahead of its official commissioning and handover. The inspection was carried out to ensure that every aspect of the project met the required standards before the historic commissioning ceremony scheduled for tomorrow. Following the assessment, the Chairman expressed satisfaction with the quality and readiness of the facility for immediate use. The newly constructed divisional headquarters has been fully equipped with modern office furniture, electrical installations, a power generating set, and a patrol vehicle to enable officers of the NSCDC to commence operations immediately after the official handover. As part of the inspection exercise, Chairman Anomo also test-drove the newly procured patrol vehicle, which complements the operational motorcycle previously donated by his administration. These logistics support initiatives are aimed at enhancing the operational capacity of the NSCDC and other security agencies in protecting lives and property across Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA. Speaking during the inspection, the Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the security architecture of the council through strategic investments in critical infrastructure and operational support for security agencies. He noted that the commissioning of the NSCDC Divisional Headquarters represents another significant milestone in the council’s efforts to create a safer, more peaceful, and prosperous environment for residents and businesses. The official commissioning and handover of the facility is expected to further improve security coordination, emergency response, and crime prevention within Odo-Ayandelu and the wider Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
