The Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has once again demonstrated its commitment to people-centred governance with the successful disbursement of the August edition of the Akinloye Cares Monthly Cash Support Programme to 350 widows and elderly residents across the Council.
The monthly intervention is designed to provide financial relief to vulnerable members of the community, improve their welfare and strengthen the administration’s commitment to an inclusive development agenda where no resident is left behind.
Speaking during the presentation, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, represented by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Oladega, reaffirmed the administration’s determination to sustain and expand welfare initiatives that directly impact the lives of residents.
He noted that supporting widows and senior citizens remains an important part of the administration’s people-oriented approach, stressing that the programme is not merely about financial assistance but also about promoting dignity, inclusion and a sense of belonging among vulnerable residents.
The Akinloye Cares Monthly Cash Support Programme has continued to serve as a practical expression of the administration’s commitment to compassionate leadership and responsive governance, providing consistent support to those who need it most.
The August intervention further underscores the administration’s resolve to prioritise the socio-economic wellbeing of residents and ensure that the benefits of governance reach every segment of the Eredo LCDA community.
