  • 2027: We’ll Campaign With Tinubu’s Positive Results, Not Name-Calling — Aarebirin Folashade Olabanji-Oba

Lagostrend report that the Honourable Commissioner, Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Aarebirin Hon. Princess Dr. Folashade Olabanji-Oba, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will approach the 2027 general elections with a campaign anchored on the positive results, policies and achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration rather than personal attacks, name-calling or divisive rhetoric.

Olabanji-Oba, who is also the National Deputy Board of Trustees Chairman of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGONVC), said political campaigns should provide Nigerians with clear information about competing visions, policies, programmes and records of performance.

According to her, the 2027 election should be a contest of ideas, achievements and credible plans for the future of Nigeria.

«“We are campaigning with the positive results of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s great policies, not name-calling. Nigerians deserve to hear what has been achieved, what is being done differently and how these policies are creating opportunities for a greater future.”»

The APC chieftain noted that the Tinubu-led administration inherited significant economic and structural challenges but demonstrated the political will to embark on difficult reforms aimed at repositioning the Nigerian economy for sustainable growth and development.

She urged Nigerians to objectively assess the administration’s policies and emerging impact, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, transportation, investment, energy, healthcare, education and economic management.

Olabanji-Oba maintained that Nigeria remains a nation richly endowed with human and natural resources and stressed the need for stronger collaboration between the Federal Government and state governments to unlock the country’s commercial and industrial potential.

She also reaffirmed her 100 per cent loyalty, confidence and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates across the country, saying the Renewed Hope Agenda deserves to be communicated to Nigerians responsibly and constructively.

The APC leader called on party members, supporters and campaigners to make facts, figures, projects and the experiences of ordinary Nigerians the centrepiece of their campaign messages.

«“We should campaign with facts, figures, projects and the experiences of ordinary Nigerians. Where there are challenges, we should acknowledge them and explain the solutions. Where there are achievements, we should communicate them clearly.”»

She further appealed to political leaders, supporters and followers across the country to conduct the 2027 electoral process peacefully and responsibly, stressing that Nigerians are one family regardless of political differences.

“We must engage and participate peacefully. We all matter and are, first and foremost, family,” she said.

Olabanji-Oba expressed confidence that Nigerians would ultimately make their choice based on performance, credibility and the direction they believe best serves the national interest.

She said the APC would continue to mobilise citizens across the country around the Renewed Hope Agenda while communicating the Federal Government’s development programmes in a responsible and constructive manner.

The APC chieftain, who holds several leadership positions within pro-Tinubu support groups and women-focused political mobilisation platforms, including Global Director-General/Founder of the Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors Movement for Renewed Hope (ADAM-FRD), National Coordinator/Convener of Amazons Progressive Development for Renewed Hope (APD-FRD), Director of Women Affairs (South-West Zonal) of Tinubu Torch Bearers, Chairperson of APC Amazons, APEX Member of SWAGA, National Organising Secretary, South-West Zonal, APC Support Groups Council, and National Director of Women Affairs of 774 Women for Tinubu/Shettima, reiterated her commitment to the Renewed Hope movement.

She emphasised that the 2027 election must ultimately be about the future of Nigeria and the choices before the electorate, rather than political insults or distractions.

«“The 2027 election should be about Nigeria’s future, not political name-calling. Our responsibility is to tell Nigerians what His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is doing, present the results and allow the people to make an informed decision,” Olabanji-Oba said.
