Sanwo-Olu Inspects Epe Link Bridge Project, Assures Completion Within Three Months

Residents of Epe have received fresh hope as Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, inspected the ongoing Link Bridge Project shortly after officially presenting letters of allocation to 98 beneficiary communities.

The inspection underscored the Lagos State Government’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure that will enhance connectivity, improve transportation, and stimulate economic growth across the Epe division.

Speaking during the inspection, Governor Sanwo-Olu explained that the bridge would provide a strategic link connecting Imegun Village, near Ito-Omu, while the road network would stretch through Ito-Omu, Arapagi, Ladaba Area, Ajegbenwa, and Elerangbe. He added that the project also includes a comprehensive drainage system and modern street lighting to ensure safer and more convenient travel for residents.

Expressing satisfaction with the pace of work, the Governor said the project had reached an advanced stage.

“The foundation has been completed, the cast elements are being set, and the headroom will be improved. In another two to three months, I am confident that the project will be completed,” he stated.

The ongoing bridge and road project is expected to significantly improve movement within the affected communities, open up new economic opportunities, and support the state’s broader vision of sustainable infrastructure development.

Residents and stakeholders have welcomed the progress, describing the project as a major milestone that will improve access to markets, schools, healthcare facilities, and other essential services.

The inspection further reflects the Lagos State Government’s determination to deliver impactful infrastructure projects that will improve the quality of life for citizens and drive development across all parts of the state.
