The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly frozen the bank accounts of the Osun State Government, a development coming just 10 days before the state’s governorship election.

The action has generated widespread reactions across political and public circles, with many observers closely monitoring the situation due to its timing and the potential implications for government operations and the forthcoming election.

As of the time of filing this report, the EFCC has not publicly released detailed information explaining the reasons behind the reported account freeze. Likewise, the Osun State Government is yet to issue an official statement addressing the development.
