Lagostrend Report that the Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Dr.) Agbaje Lukman Abiodun, has called on residents, traders, business owners, community leaders, and other stakeholders to actively participate in the monthly environmental sanitation exercise aimed at promoting a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Ayobo-Ipaja community.

Speaking through the Public Affairs Unit of the Council, the Chairman emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining environmental cleanliness and safeguarding public health. He noted that a clean environment is essential for the well-being of residents and the overall development of the local council area.

Hon. Agbaje encouraged all residents to take advantage of the monthly sanitation exercise, which is held on the last Saturday of every month from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., by cleaning their homes, business premises, drainage channels, and surrounding areas.

According to the Chairman, environmental cleanliness is not solely the responsibility of the government but a shared duty that requires the cooperation and commitment of every member of the community. He urged residents to properly dispose of their waste and refrain from indiscriminate dumping of refuse, which often contributes to flooding, environmental degradation, and health hazards.

He further stressed that sustained participation in sanitation activities would help create a safer and more attractive environment for residents, businesses, and visitors while supporting the council’s vision of a cleaner and healthier Ayobo-Ipaja.

The Chairman reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to environmental sustainability and called on all stakeholders to continue supporting initiatives that promote cleanliness, public health, and community development.

As the next sanitation exercise approaches, residents are encouraged to come out in large numbers and play their part in keeping Ayobo-Ipaja clean, green, and livable for all.
