The Business Times Awards 2026 has honoured Rebar Perfecta, a company which is into dredging and distribution of sharp sands, with an award of excellence for leading the future: excellence in innovation and impact.
The Founder/Co-CEO, Finance and Logistics, Rebar Perfecta, Mr. Gbenga Adigun, received the award and certificate during an evening of celebration of excellence, vision and impact, held recently, at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria-Island, Lagos.
The occasion, had in attendance representatives of State governors, CEOs, MDs, founders, outstanding leaders and other Nigerians from across various sectors who have distinguished themselves in their various fields.
The event was an avenue for celebrating Nigerians who have demonstrated resilience, adaptability and a commitment to excellence while contributing to economic growth and industry advancement.
Rebar Perfecta however, took center stage at the awards presentation among businesses that create jobs, visionary leaders who inspired change, innovators transforming industries and organizations delivering measurable impact on society.
In the organization’s presentation, Adigun, described their service to include sharp sand sales and supply, canalization, land reclamation, site preparation, civil works and general dredging.
“Rebar Perfecta Limited, is into dredging and distribution of sharp sand. Our scope for now covers Lagos and near – Ogun State,” he stressed. We own a healthy fleet of trucks for speedy and reliable delivery of sharp sand, adding that, “we move the earth for you.”
Speaking with journalists, shortly after receiving the award on the sideline at the event, Adigun, expressed appreciation to Business Times for the recognition alongside big name companies.
Said he: “to be honest, its very, very, very humbling to be recognized – a one man business – so to speak as they call us. A small business; but no so small business anymore.”
Continuing, he said: “to be so recognize along side big name companies that has been in Nigeria for two, three decades. You heard about May & Baker Nigeria Plc, they have been there since I was born or before my dad was born!
“You heard heard about that big name companies like Julius Berger, Veritas Kapital Assurance Plc, Craneburg Construction and institutions like the NTA, AMCON; to be on the same room with people like this who are shaping the economy and driving the GDP of Nigeria is indeed a big honour.
“To be recognized that the little we are doing from our own corner is been acknowledged, our contributions to the economy, job creation and to be seen as a leader in our industry.
“So, its very humbling and it just gives us the motivation to continue to do more and to do anything we can, to improve the Nigeria economy,” he said.
The founder of Rebar Perfecta, further recounted some of the too numerous projects the company have embarked upon to include the biggest church in the world, called the Ark, “a Winner’s chapel 109,000 – seat auditorium in Canaan Land, Ota, Ogun State, we supplied all the sands that were used there.”
“We have also done more than 100 roads in Lagos. For example, the Apapa – Gbagada concrete road, we supplied all the sands. I mentioned the Opebi – Mende – Ojota link bridge, in my organization’s presentation.
“We have done reclamation job around Orange Island, a master – planned reclaimed Island, located in the Lagos lagoon, approximately, one kilometer of the shoreline of Lekki Phase 1. We are currently, on that project as we speak.
“We are already making the difference, that is why we are been recognised by the organisers, Business Times and the difference is to be very honest.
“In our industry, a lot of corner-cutting happens when people are not honest and when people are not efficient and maybe even effective. Projects that should take one year, people are on it for three years.
“So, at Rebar Perfecta, we try to differentiate ourselves with speed, quality, honesty and the rest of it, so that we can continue to provide value for our clients and for the economy at large,” Adigun asserted.
