    Lagostrend report that Prince Olojo-Kosoko has formally declared himself the Oloja-elect of Lagos, reaffirming his legitimate claim to the revered ancestral stool of Oloja of Lagos, in line with history, tradition, and established royal lineage.

    In a statement issued to the public, Prince Olojo-Kosoko emphasized that his emergence as Oloja-elect follows due traditional processes rooted in the customs and heritage of Lagos Island. He noted that his claim is anchored on verifiable lineage, cultural continuity, and the collective will of key traditional stakeholders who uphold the sanctity of Lagos’ indigenous institutions.

    According to Prince Olojo-Kosoko, the position of Oloja is not merely ceremonial but a sacred trust that embodies the history, identity, and unity of the indigenous people of Lagos. He stressed that his intention is to preserve the cultural values of Lagos, promote peace among all communities, and work harmoniously with constituted authorities for the progress and stability of the state.

    “I stand today as the Oloja-elect of Lagos, ready to serve with humility, responsibility, and respect for our rich traditions,” Prince Olojo-Kosoko stated. “My focus is to strengthen unity, protect our heritage, and ensure that the voice of the indigenous people of Lagos is preserved for generations to come.”

    He further called on Lagosians, traditional chiefs, youths, and cultural stakeholders to remain calm, law-abiding, and supportive of peaceful dialogue, adding that all actions taken in pursuit of the stool are guided by respect for tradition, law, and coexistence.

    Prince Olojo-Kosoko reiterated his commitment to transparency, inclusiveness, and cultural preservation, assuring the public that his leadership, when fully installed, will prioritize harmony, development, and the dignity of Lagos’ ancient institutions.
