During the meeting, both leaders deliberated on the Oniru Meets Business initiative—an innovative platform designed to bring together community leaders, investors, and government stakeholders to address business challenges, foster strategic partnerships, and promote sustainable, inclusive growth across Iru Land.

Governor Sanwo-Olu commended the Oniru for his forward-thinking leadership and commitment to positioning Iru as a thriving commercial and cultural hub within Lagos State. The discussions also explored collaboration on the Oniru Business Culture Day initiative, a proposed annual event aimed at celebrating enterprise, culture, and investment opportunities within Iru Kingdom. The initiative is expected to showcase the rich heritage of Iru Land while attracting local and international investors, further solidifying Lagos as a preferred destination for business and tourism.
Oba Lawal emphasized the importance of peace, unity, and structured engagement between the community and investors to ensure balanced development and shared prosperity.
The meeting underscored the Lagos State Government’s continued partnership with traditional rulers as critical stakeholders in achieving sustainable development, economic resilience, and inclusive growth across the state.
