Prominent leaders, Islamic scholars, and community members gathered in Igbooye for a remarkable Ramadan Lecture focused on spiritual reflection and moral rejuvenation for Muslims during the holy month.
The event, hosted by the Chief Imam of Igbooye Odoyangushi Central Mosque, Sheikh Alhaji Salam Abdul Ganiy Oluwasunkanmi Oluwaseun, featured an enlightening lecture delivered by renowned Islamic scholar Prof. Onibon Olajide Nosiru, who spoke on the thought-provoking topic: “Ramadan as a Spiritual Re-Engineer: Whither the Muslims?”
In his lecture, Prof. Onibon Olajide Nosiru emphasized the importance of Ramadan as a period for deep spiritual transformation, urging Muslims to reflect on their actions, strengthen their faith, and recommit themselves to the principles of discipline, compassion, and community development.
The spiritual gathering was graciously hosted by HRM Oba (Tpl.) Abdulrasaq Akanni Musa, whose leadership and support for religious and community initiatives continue to promote unity and harmony in the community.
The occasion attracted several distinguished personalities including the Principal Guest of Honour, Hon. Tasir Wale Raji, Member House of Representatives representing Epe Federal Constituency, who commended the organizers for creating a platform that encourages moral growth and unity among the people.
Also present was the Chairman of the Occasion, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, alongside other notable dignitaries such as Alhaji I.O. Soliu, Mufti of Igbooye, and Mr. Olugbogi Abdulwasiu Oluwaseun (Olugas) who attended as special guests.
The Ramadan lecture served as a powerful reminder of the significance of the holy month as a time for spiritual renewal, self-discipline, and collective prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity within the community and the nation at large.
