The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has called on all residents to actively participate in the forthcoming Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise scheduled to hold on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
In a public announcement issued through the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Mr. Jubril Idris Epe-CityJnr, Hon. Akinloye emphasized the importance of environmental cleanliness as a collective responsibility that contributes significantly to public health, safety, and sustainable community development.
The Chairman urged residents, market men and women, transport operators, artisans, and business owners across Eredo LCDA to dedicate time to cleaning their homes, compounds, drainage channels, markets, and other public spaces during the sanitation exercise.
He also advised residents to ensure proper waste disposal and strictly avoid indiscriminate dumping of refuse and the burning of waste materials, noting that such practices pose serious environmental and health hazards.
According to the Chairman, maintaining a clean environment helps prevent the spread of diseases, promotes healthier living conditions, and enhances the overall beauty and development of the community.
Hon. Akinloye reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to environmental sustainability and called on all stakeholders to support the council’s efforts in creating a cleaner and greener Eredo.
“As responsible citizens, we must all work together to keep our communities clean, healthy, and safe for everyone. Environmental sanitation is not just a government responsibility; it is a civic duty that requires the cooperation of all residents,” he stated.
The Eredo LCDA leadership expressed confidence that residents would once again demonstrate their commitment to community development by participating fully in the exercise.
Together, let’s keep Eredo Clean, Green, and Great.
