In a heartwarming demonstration of compassion and responsive leadership, the Supervisor for Agriculture, Social Services, Rural and Community Affairs, Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Adeleke Olabanjo (FCPA), has donated a wheelchair to Mr. Yekini Isiaka, a resident of Lepia Community in Ward D, Lekki LCDA.
The donation was made during the Stakeholders’ Sensitization Programme on Community Self-Help Projects, where community leaders, stakeholders, youths, and residents gathered to discuss initiatives aimed at strengthening grassroots development.
Presenting the wheelchair, Hon. Olabanjo stated that caring for vulnerable members of society remains a fundamental responsibility of leadership. He explained that the donation was intended to improve Mr. Isiaka’s mobility, restore greater independence, and enhance his quality of life.
According to the Supervisor, no resident should be left behind in the pursuit of sustainable community development, stressing that the welfare of the people remains a top priority of the Lekki LCDA administration.
The thoughtful humanitarian gesture was met with widespread appreciation from community members and participants at the event, who commended Hon. Olabanjo for his people-centered approach to governance and unwavering commitment to supporting those in need.
