Residents of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have been reminded to actively participate in the monthly environmental sanitation exercise scheduled to hold on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., in accordance with the directive of the Lagos State Government.
The exercise is aimed at promoting a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment across communities within the council area while reducing the risk of flooding and environmental hazards.
Residents, business owners, market operators, artisans, and other stakeholders are encouraged to clean their homes, offices, business premises, drainage channels, and surrounding areas. They are also advised to dispose of refuse properly through approved waste disposal channels to ensure effective environmental management.
The council emphasized that environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility, urging everyone to support government efforts by participating fully in the sanitation exercise. It noted that regular sanitation contributes significantly to disease prevention, improved public health, and the overall beautification of the community.
Lekki LCDA therefore calls on all residents to demonstrate civic responsibility by taking part in the exercise and working together to maintain a clean, safe, healthy, and flood-free environment.
