Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, has significantly extended her lead in the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) presidential election, moving a step closer to making history as the association’s first democratically elected female president.

The latest results released from the ongoing electronic voting process show Badejo-Okusanya maintaining a commanding advantage over her closest rivals, reinforcing growing confidence among supporters that she is on course for a landmark victory.

Her impressive performance at the polls reflects widespread support from legal practitioners across the country, many of whom have praised her vision for a more inclusive, progressive, and transparent Nigerian Bar Association.

If the current trend continues until the final declaration of results, Badejo-Okusanya will become the first woman to be elected President of the NBA, marking a defining moment in the association’s history and a major milestone for gender inclusion in Nigeria’s legal profession.

The closely watched election has attracted nationwide attention, with lawyers eagerly awaiting the official announcement of the final results. Political observers and members of the legal community have described the contest as one of the most significant in recent NBA history.

As vote collation continues, all eyes remain on the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA), which is expected to officially declare the winner after the completion of the electoral process.

Badejo-Okusanya’s growing lead has already sparked celebrations among her supporters, who view her emergence as a victory for progressive leadership and a new chapter for the Nigerian Bar Association.
