Celebration of Academic Excellence and Moral Values as Imole Comprehensive College Holds 2nd Valedictory, End-of-Session and Prize-Giving Ceremony

It was a memorable celebration of academic excellence, discipline and outstanding moral values as Imole Comprehensive College, Epe, held its 2nd Valedictory, End-of-Session and Prize-Giving Day Ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session at the Lagos Theatre, Epe.

Lagostrend report that the colourful event featured a grand procession of graduating students and members of the school management, setting the stage for a day dedicated to recognising excellence in academics, leadership, sports, discipline and co-curricular activities. Parents, guardians, dignitaries and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the students and the steady growth of the institution.

Delivering his welcome address, the Principal of the college, Mr. Peter Okechukwu Samuel, described the ceremony as more than a celebration of academic success, saying it was also a celebration of the values, discipline and good character the school has consistently nurtured in its students.

According to him, the 2025/2026 academic session was highly productive, enabling the school to sustain its high academic standards while promoting moral excellence and rewarding outstanding performances across different areas of student development.

Mr. Samuel expressed profound appreciation to parents and guardians for their unwavering trust, encouragement, sacrifices and prayers, noting that their continuous support has played a significant role in the school’s growth over the past three years. He assured them that the confidence reposed in the institution would never be misplaced.

The Principal also commended the dedication and selfless service of the teaching and non-teaching staff, describing them as the driving force behind the school’s academic success and moral development. He prayed for God’s abundant blessings upon them for their commitment to shaping future leaders.

Addressing the graduating students, Mr. Samuel urged them to remain worthy ambassadors of Imole Comprehensive College as they proceed to higher institutions. He encouraged prize winners to remain focused and strive for greater achievements, while advising other students to emulate the commitment and determination displayed by the award recipients.

Reaffirming the school’s vision, the Principal praised the foresight and leadership of the Proprietor, Hon. Naheem Abiodun Balogun, stressing that Imole Comprehensive College remains committed to providing quality education, promoting moral values, nurturing leadership and equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in an ever-changing world.

Also speaking at the event, Hon. Olanrewaju Olaleye Ogundele, Lagos State House of Assembly aspirant for Epe Constituency I, encouraged students and parents to continue placing high value on education, dismissing claims that education is no longer worthwhile. He urged students to remain focused, determined and passionate about academic success while acquiring practical skills that would prepare them for future career opportunities. He also applauded the proprietor, principal and staff for their unwavering commitment to raising responsible future leaders.

Other distinguished guests, including former Vice Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Dr. Abiodun Adebayo (represented by his daughter), and Prof. Oluwagbemiga Omotayo Olanrewaju Shoewu, also inspired the students with words of encouragement and commended the school’s impressive achievements.

During media interviews, the Proprietor’s Personal Assistant, Alhaji Adelana Adedoyin, alongside parents including Mrs. Adebayo Yetunde Abisola and Mr. Adeniyi Kazeem Olatunde, as well as outgoing student leaders Adetola Mohammed, Victoria and Akinola Farida, praised the institution for combining academic excellence with strong moral values.

Alhaji Adedoyin described Imole Comprehensive College as one of the best educational institutions in Epe, highlighting its modern learning facilities, dedicated teachers and commitment to producing future leaders despite being only three years old. He applauded Hon. Naheem Abiodun Balogun and his wife, Alhaja Folake Balogun, for their remarkable investment in education and community development.

The Principal further revealed that one of the school’s unique initiatives is its Mentor-Mentee Scheme, designed to provide students with proper guidance and support throughout their academic journey.

The Vice Principal (Administration), Mrs. Adeleye Olajumoke Fatimah, charged the graduating students to uphold the school’s motto, “Humility in Service to Humanity,” as they continue their educational pursuits in higher institutions.

The ceremony concluded on a joyous note with cultural displays, students’ presentations, award and prize presentations, as parents, guests and well-wishers celebrated the outstanding accomplishments of the students and expressed gratitude to God for another successful academic session.

The successful event once again reaffirmed Imole Comprehensive College’s growing reputation as one of Epe’s leading institutions, dedicated to academic excellence, character development and the preparation of responsible leaders for the future.
