IRAYE OKE MUSLIM COMMUNITY MOURNS GRAND CHIEF IMAM, LATE ALH. MASHOOD ADEKUNLE SALAMI
The Grand Mufti of the Iraye Oke Muslim Community has expressed deep sadness over the passing of the Grand Chief Imam of Iraye Oke, Late Alhaji Mashood Adekunle Salami, describing his death as a great loss to the Muslim community and the entire people of Iraye Oke.
In a condolence message, the Grand Mufti prayed that Almighty Allah forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
The Grand Mufti also commended the dignitaries, religious leaders, community leaders and members of the public who honoured the late Grand Chief Imam by attending the funeral and condolence activities.
Special appreciation was extended to the President-General of Epe Division, the President-General of the League of Imams and Alfas, Eredo, and the entire members of the League for their presence and support during the difficult period.
The Grand Mufti further appreciated the Committee Members of Iraye Oke Muslim Community, as well as the entire Muslim community and residents of Iraye Oke, for their solidarity, prayers and contributions toward giving the late Grand Chief Imam a befitting farewell.
The deceased, Late Alhaji Mashood Adekunle Salami, was remembered as a respected Islamic leader whose service and commitment to the Muslim community would continue to be cherished.
The Grand Mufti urged members of the community to continue praying for the repose of his soul and to uphold the values of peace, unity, faith and community service which the late Grand Chief Imam stood for.
May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his deeds, grant him eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus and give his family, the Muslim community and the entire people of Iraye Oke the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Ameen.
