Elite Club of Ijebu Igbo Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Educational Support for Public School Pupils

In a remarkable demonstration of community service and commitment to education, the Elite Club of Ijebu Igbo has marked its 20th anniversary by donating notebooks to pupils in public primary schools across Ijebu Igbo.

The educational support initiative, which commenced on Monday, August 21, 2026, was led by the President of the club, Elite Nojeemdeen Inakoju, alongside other distinguished members of the organization. The exercise formed part of the activities lined up to commemorate two decades of the club’s contributions to community development and social impact.

The club disclosed that the exercise was carried out with the approval of the Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Dr. Bolaji Odusanya, through the Local Government Education Authority, ensuring smooth coordination with relevant educational stakeholders.

As pupils prepare for a new academic session, the notebook distribution was designed to ease some of the educational burdens faced by parents and guardians while encouraging learning among young children. Members of the club visited public primary schools across the five quarters of Ijebu Igbo, where the notebooks were distributed to enthusiastic pupils.

Speaking during the outreach programme, the President of the Elite Club of Ijebu Igbo, Elite Nojeemdeen Inakoju, emphasized that although the organization is primarily a social club, it remains deeply committed to promoting the welfare and development of the community.

According to him, the notebook donation reflects the club’s belief in investing in education and empowering the younger generation, while also serving as a way of giving back to society.

He further highlighted several impactful projects previously undertaken by the club, including donations worth millions of naira to the Orimolusi Palace, support for less privileged individuals, assistance to government agencies and community-based organizations, as well as medical interventions for vulnerable members of society.

The gesture was warmly received by beneficiaries, with pupils expressing joy and gratitude for the support. Teachers and parents also praised the club for its commitment to strengthening education at the grassroots level.
