Lagostrend report that Human rights activist and former African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently receiving medical attention in a hospital and would return to Nigeria after being discharged.
Sowore made the assertion while addressing public concerns about the President’s whereabouts and health status. He further disclosed that his political movement is preparing legal action against President Tinubu and intends to petition the National Assembly to initiate impeachment proceedings.
The development has generated significant public discussion across political and social circles, with many Nigerians awaiting official clarification from relevant government authorities regarding the claims.
Sowore, a prominent opposition figure and advocate for democratic accountability, maintained that his party would pursue all available constitutional and legal avenues concerning the issues it has raised against the President.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from the Presidency regarding Sowore’s allegations. Political observers note that any impeachment process would require constitutional procedures and legislative approval as stipulated by Nigerian law.
The unfolding situation is expected to attract national attention in the coming days as stakeholders await further statements from both the Presidency and the National Assembly.
LagostrendTV News will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as more information becomes available.
