
Lagostrend report that the Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, on Monday, March 9, 2026, officially swore in the newly appointed Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Supervisors and Special Advisers at a ceremony held at the Council Secretariat.
The event marked another significant milestone in the administration’s drive to strengthen governance and accelerate grassroots development across Eredo LCDA.
Delivering his keynote address at the ceremony, Hon. Akinloye expressed gratitude to stakeholders and residents for their continued support while emphasizing that the inauguration of the new executive committee members represents a renewed commitment to progress, transparency and responsive leadership.
“Today marks another annal of history in Eredo LCDA as we are not merely gathered to fulfill a constitutional requirement, but to ignite a promise of progress, transparency and grassroots development,” the Chairman said.
Congratulating the newly appointed officials, Hon. Akinloye noted that their selection was based on their competence, character and commitment to the development of Eredo LCDA. He described their appointments as a call to service, urging them to remain accountable and focused on delivering tangible benefits to residents.
“You have been called to serve and not to be served. The success of this administration depends on your ability to translate policies into meaningful projects and programmes that will positively impact the lives of our people,” he stated.
The Chairman further stressed the importance of accountability, innovation and dedication in governance, reminding the appointees that every public fund must be judiciously utilized for the benefit of the community.
He also highlighted key priority areas of his administration which include education, healthcare, agriculture, security and rural electrification, noting that these sectors will continue to receive strategic attention in order to improve the living standards of residents.
Hon. Akinloye assured the people of Eredo that his administration remains committed to making the LCDA a peaceful and prosperous environment for all, while also encouraging residents to continue supporting government initiatives.
“To the good people of Eredo, governance is a partnership. We need your support, feedback and prayers to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every doorstep,” he added.
The ceremony was attended by political leaders, community stakeholders, traditional leaders, party faithful and residents who gathered to witness the official inauguration of the new political appointees.
