Pastor Olabanjo Felix Gold, formerly the founder of Image of God Evangelical and Prophetic Ministries, has publicly announced his transition from Christianity to Ìṣẹ̀ṣe, the traditional Yoruba spiritual and cultural practice, describing the move as the outcome of a personal spiritual journey.
LAGOSTREND report that In a video circulating online, Olabanjo introduced himself by his new spiritual identity, Ifawamiri Aworan Olodumare, Babalawo of Ifá, and expressed appreciation to the spiritual elders whom he said guided and supported him throughout his journey.
He particularly acknowledged his Oluwo, Baba Aifuwapẹ Oluṣẹgun Latunji, whom he identified as the Araba of Isararemọ, for his guidance and support.
The former cleric also extended his appreciation to individuals who, according to him, stood by him throughout his spiritual transition, stressing the importance of elders and mentorship in traditional spiritual practice.
Speaking about his new path, Olabanjo said his decision was based on his personal spiritual convictions and experience. He described Ìṣẹ̀ṣe as the authentic traditional spiritual path he had come to embrace.
