Lagostrend report that Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Epe Constituency I, Hon. Mustain Abiodun Tobun, has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to quality representation, declaring his intention to continue serving his constituents based on their overwhelming support and confidence in his leadership.
Speaking during a well-attended Media Parley held at the Epe Local Government Secretariat, Hon. Tobun emphasized that his political journey has been guided by sincerity of purpose and a deep sense of responsibility to the people.
“I have served my constituents with sincerity of purpose. In this contest, my people still want me to continue to represent them, and I am going back,” he stated confidently.
Addressing critics of his fifth-term ambition, the lawmaker maintained that only the electorate holds the power to decide his political future. “You cannot tell me ‘O To Ge.’ My 5th term bid can only be stopped through the ballot, not by social media ranting,” he asserted.
Hon. Tobun further noted that his continued aspiration is driven by a clear agenda and a commitment to completing ongoing developmental initiatives. “For some of us who have agenda, we are still working on how to actualize this, and that means we still have unfinished assignments which we must finish,” he added.
The event also witnessed a strong endorsement from the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, who expressed her preference for continuity in leadership.
“I am not against other aspirants, but Hon. Abiodun Tobun is my candidate. I prefer continuity of an experienced representative to a new person who will have to start from behind,” she said.
The Media Parley provided an opportunity for Hon. Tobun to present a comprehensive account of his stewardship, achievements, and impact across key sectors, including infrastructure development, education, youth empowerment, and community welfare.
Stakeholders, media practitioners, and community leaders in attendance commended the lawmaker’s performance and engaged in constructive dialogue on the future of Epe Constituency I.
