The MFA Leadership Symposium, themed “From Grassroots to Greatness,” has successfully celebrated 15 years of legislative excellence, impactful leadership, and community-driven development in Ibeju-Lekki.
The landmark event, organized by MFA Ambassadors, brought together an array of distinguished personalities including community leaders, political stakeholders, youth representatives, and residents. It served as a reflective and forward-looking gathering, highlighting the constituency’s remarkable transformation over the past decade and a half.
Setting the tone for the symposium was a powerful message on leadership: “Leadership is not just about knowing the way, but being able to know the way, show the way, go the way, and lead others to the way.” This guiding principle resonated throughout the event as speakers emphasized purposeful leadership and collective progress.
In his keynote remarks, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Sesan Olowa, underscored the rapid infrastructural growth and socio-economic advancements witnessed across the constituency. He attributed these achievements to visionary leadership, strong grassroots engagement, and effective alignment with national development policies.
Hon. Olowa also highlighted the impact of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting its role in strengthening governance, revitalizing the economy, and fostering national stability. He reaffirmed the commitment of local authorities to fully support policies that will further improve the welfare and prosperity of the people.
Delivering the keynote address, the guest speaker commended the Tinubu administration for taking proactive and strategic steps toward repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth. He acknowledged existing challenges but stressed that deliberate efforts are underway to build a more resilient and prosperous nation.
The guest speaker also praised Hon. Olowa’s leadership, describing him as a catalyst for development in Ibeju-Lekki and a true embodiment of the people’s aspirations through his impactful initiatives.
Beyond celebrating past achievements, the symposium provided a platform for meaningful dialogue on the future of the constituency. Participants expressed strong optimism and reiterated their commitment to unity, inclusive development, and effective governance.
