Hon. Lanre Balogun Leads Strategic Meeting on Voter Awareness, Community Engagement and Support for Tinubu/Hamzat

Community Champions have announced plans to intensify grassroots mobilisation and voter awareness ahead of the 2027 general elections, with particular attention to engaging undecided voters and encouraging active participation in the democratic process.

The initiative, held at the IBB Sport Complex, brought participants together to discuss strategies for strengthening community engagement, promoting electoral awareness and building conversations around the forthcoming elections.

The programme is being coordinated by Hon. Lanre Balogun, who is leading efforts to expand grassroots outreach and encourage community members to take an active interest in the political process.

The meeting provided an opportunity for participants to deliberate on practical mobilisation strategies, the importance of civic responsibility and ways to communicate political messages effectively at the community level.

STRATEGIC DISCUSSIONS AHEAD OF 2027

A major highlight of the gathering was a discussion on strategies for the 2027 general elections, with participants considering approaches to grassroots mobilisation, community outreach and voter engagement.

The meeting also featured discussions under the theme, “How Can We Take Lagos Back?” Participants examined the need to review previous electoral experiences, identify challenges affecting grassroots political support and explore practical ways to strengthen the party’s presence across Lagos State.

Another key focus was community engagement and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat ahead of the 2027 elections.

Participants discussed ways to communicate the candidates’ policies, programmes and political priorities to residents while encouraging informed participation in the electoral process.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND VOTER AWARENESS

As preparations for the 2027 general elections continue, Community Champions intend to sustain engagement with residents through community-level interactions and awareness activities.

The initiative also emphasises the importance of peaceful political participation, civic responsibility and respect for democratic principles.

Through these engagements, the group aims to create opportunities for residents, particularly undecided voters, to ask questions, obtain relevant political information and make informed decisions about their electoral choices.

The mobilisation effort reflects the group’s stated commitment to supporting the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat in the 2027 elections.
