  • OTO-AWORI LCDA RALLIES RESIDENTS FOR MASSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE

…Hon. Saka Yussuf Olatunji Urges Collective Action for a Cleaner and Healthier Community

Residents of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have been encouraged to come out in large numbers and actively participate in the ongoing Environmental Sanitation Exercise aimed at promoting a cleaner, healthier, and safer environment across the council area.

The call was made by the Supervisor for Budget, Planning and Statistics, Hon. Saka Yussuf Olatunji (SYO) “Omoluabi,” who emphasized the importance of environmental cleanliness in safeguarding public health and enhancing community development.

According to Hon. Olatunji, environmental sanitation remains a collective responsibility that requires the active involvement of all residents, business owners, community leaders, market men and women, as well as youth groups. He urged residents to clean their surroundings, clear blocked drainage channels, properly dispose of waste, and maintain hygienic homes and streets.

He noted that a clean environment not only prevents the spread of diseases but also contributes to the overall well-being and prosperity of the community.

“Health is wealth. When our environment is clean, our people remain healthy, productive, and safe. I encourage every resident to willingly participate in this sanitation exercise and make cleanliness a daily habit,” he stated.

The sanitation exercise forms part of the ongoing efforts of the Oto-Awori LCDA administration to promote environmental sustainability, improve public health standards, and create a more attractive community for residents and visitors alike.

Hon. Olatunji further called on residents to support government initiatives geared towards environmental protection by adopting responsible waste disposal practices and ensuring that drains and public spaces remain free from refuse.

As the exercise continues, residents have been reminded that collective action and community spirit are vital to achieving the shared vision of a cleaner, healthier, and more prosperous Oto-Awori LCDA.

Together, let us keep Oto-Awori LCDA clean, healthy, and safe for all.

    Signed:
Hon. Saka Yussuf Olatunji (SYO) “Omoluabi”
