The All Progressives Congress (APC) has firmly dismissed as false and baseless reports suggesting a possible replacement of Vice President Kashim Shettima as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s running mate ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC described the reports as unfounded, misleading, and a deliberate attempt to sow discord within the party and distract the administration from its ongoing governance agenda.

According to the statement, the APC emphasized that there is no truth whatsoever to claims of internal discussions or plans aimed at altering the current leadership structure of the Tinubu–Shettima administration. The party reaffirmed its full confidence in Vice President Shettima, describing him as a loyal partner and a key contributor to the realization of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The APC further noted that the President and Vice President continue to enjoy the overwhelming support of party stakeholders nationwide, stressing that the focus of the party remains on delivering good governance, economic reforms, and people-centered policies that will improve the lives of Nigerians.

Felix Morka urged party members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the speculative reports, advising Nigerians to rely on official party communications for accurate and credible information.

The statement concluded by reiterating the APC’s commitment to unity, stability, and responsible leadership, assuring Nigerians that the party remains united and focused on consolidating the gains of the Tinubu-led administration as it works towards a prosperous future for the nation.
