
Rep. Wale Raji (MHR), has once again brought smiles to the faces of selected elderly residents across the 19 wards of Epe Federal Constituency with the successful distribution of the January 2026 stipend under the Elders Welfare Scheme, Itoju Awon Agba.
The recently executed distribution exercise saw excited beneficiaries received their monthly ₦10,000 support with gratitude and visible relief, describing the initiative as a true “lifesaver” in these challenging economic times. Many of them offered heartfelt prayers and encomiums for the lawmaker, praising the consistency and transparency that have defined the scheme since its inception in 2020. Over the past five years, the welfare programme has impacted hundreds of elders, with an estimated investment of over ₦90 million dedicated solely to their care and well-being.
According to the recipients, the prompt and regular distribution of the stipend has helped them meet basic needs and maintain dignity in their later years. For them, Itoju Awon Agba is more than financial assistance, it is a reminder that they are remembered and valued in their twilight years.
