Breaking: PDP Endorses President Tinubu for 2027, Cites National Interest and Support for Ongoing Reforms

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has announced its endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the 2027 General Election, describing the decision as one driven by national interest, unity, and the need to sustain ongoing development across the country. According to the party, the endorsement reflects its belief that Nigeria’s progress should take precedence over partisan politics. The PDP stated that President Tinubu’s confidence in the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has contributed to the remarkable transformation witnessed in Abuja through major infrastructural projects and people-oriented initiatives. The party noted that the achievements recorded under Wike’s leadership in the FCT have earned widespread commendation, adding that the administration’s developmental strides have positively impacted residents and strengthened public confidence in governance. The PDP also referenced the recent FCT Area Council elections, where its candidates reportedly stepped down in support of APC candidates, describing the move as a demonstration of political maturity, cooperation, and patriotism in the interest of national development. Speaking on the endorsement, the party acknowledged President Tinubu’s economic reforms and broader development agenda, noting that while the policies have required sacrifices from Nigerians, they are intended to lay the foundation for a stronger, more resilient, and prosperous economy. The PDP therefore urged its members, supporters, and stakeholders across the country to unite in support of the APC-led administration and work towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 General Election. The party further expressed appreciation to President Tinubu and Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for their commitment to national development and the transformation of the Federal Capital Territory. Reaffirming its position, the party declared: “On your mandate we shall stand, Bola.
