The Epe Kayo Kayo Festival Planning Committee has extended heartfelt greetings and warm felicitations to Muslim faithful and the entire community on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message released to commemorate the celebration, the Committee prayed for Almighty Allah to accept the عبادات (acts of worship) of all believers and grant everyone the blessings of the sacred month. The Committee also expressed hope that all will witness many more Ramadan seasons in good health, peace, and unity.
Highlighting the spirit of togetherness and resilience demonstrated throughout the fasting period, the Committee commended the Mogaji-Ngeri, Olu Epe-in-Council, Grand Chief Imam, Alfas, and Bales for their unwavering dedication, leadership, and commitment to the spiritual and social well-being of the community. Their roles, the Committee noted, were instrumental in fostering harmony and guiding the faithful during the holy month.
The Committee further emphasized the importance of sustaining the values of compassion, sacrifice, and unity learned during Ramadan, urging residents to continue promoting peace and collective progress within the community.
“As we celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, let us carry forward the lessons of love, tolerance, and selflessness that define this season,” the statement read.
The Epe Kayo Kayo Festival, known for promoting food heritage and tourism, remains a symbol of cultural pride and unity in Epe and beyond.
